Junior Golf
The ILGU is committed to girls junior golf in Ireland and actively encourages participation of U18 females at all levels of Irish golf.
Through Junior Golf Ireland the ILGU is actively promoting golf amongst beginners and through schools is driving youngsters being introduced to golf towards their nearest club.
The ILGU also runs Girls' Tournaments for under-18 players who have an official CONGU handicap. The tournaments vary from the Irish Championships, to 18 hole Open Days, to inter-club team events and take the format of strokeplay, stableford and matchplay. In addition to these national events, each of the 5 Districts run girls tournaments from April through to September annually.
