Irish Schools Cups (Ulster)
The Irish Schools Championship is one of the major events on the Junior golf calendar, attracting an entry of over 100 schools from throughout Ireland. 50 girls from 23 schools in the Ulster District competed in the qualifying round at Royal Portrush Golf Club on Friday 12 March.
Some great scores were recorded in breezy conditions on the Valley Course. Again the winner of the Ulster District Team Championship and Senior Cup was Loreto College, Cavan represented by Lisa Maguire, Leona Maguire and Rebecca Brady, recording a total of 65 gross points from the 2 best cards. Loreto College will go on to defend their all Ireland title at Milltown Golf Club on 26 April. Rathmore Grammar School, represented by Paula and Laura Grant were runners-up with 58 gross points.
Tyne McGee, Jemma Hool and Jessica Bamber from Victoria College, again won the Junior Cup and will play in the all Ireland finals. A second team from Victoria College were runners-up.

Runner-up – Victoria College (Victoria Harrison, Zoe Black) - 15 gross points
Senior Individual Gross – Laura Fekkes from Ulidia Integrated College – 30 gross points
Senior Individual Nett – Brooke Hopley from Glenlola School – 43 nett points
Junior Individual Gross – Jessica Carty from Our Lady & St Patrick's College – 31 gross points
Junior Individual Nett – Hannah King from Strathearn School – 41 nett points
